I’m sure you’ve heard it all before, “you just got to pick a product and get some traffic to it!” They all make it sound so easy don’t they?

Well, I hate to say this, but it really IS easy. So why are so many people still struggling? Well, presuming they are putting in the time and effort to get all these things inline, there is only one possibility for failure:

More Money For Less Work – Too Good To Be True?

May 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment

In my last post I was talking about social proof and creating good content as a one-two punch to winning the blogging race.

But I have to admit, there’s a little more to it than just writing good content and hoping people will sing your praises and trample their way to your site, particularly in the early days.

You see, whether we like to admit it or not, there’s a little bit of elbow grease required to kick any blog into the running, so if you’re not prepared to put in some up front commitment, then this isn’t the business for you.

But that goes for any business I suppose right? Well, here the difference with Blogging to the Bank 3.0:

Rob Benwell (the author) has taken the time to pay out a plan that whilst requiring some upfront work, actually doesn’t make you slave away for months on end with little to show for it.

Why and how, you might ask…

Well, the reason why his system cuts out the usual legwork is because he explains in detail how to pick a profitable niche right from the start, instead of busting your guts to get blood out of a stone (with a niche people don’t but much stuff).

He also kicks right in with setting up your blog the right way from day one so that all of your efforts create this snowball effect where traffic keeps piling on, mainly thanks to search engines.

Finally, he shows you how to best extract money from the blog and how to eliminate your slavery but outsourcing the work required. This gives you your time back so that you can roll out another project immediately and repeat the entire systematic process time after time after time, until you literally reach the income level you personally desire.

If you want to cut out the chores and wasted months of blogging doomsville, then I suggest a read of Rob Benwell’s Blogging to the Bank 3.0.

Make Them Eat Up Your Words

May 27, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Do you think it’s easy to get a few hundred visitors to your blog or website every day?

Well, if you answered yes, then this post is probably not going to interest you.

If however, you find that getting a ton of traffic is far easier said than done, then it’s time to get the record straight once and for all…

You see, I used to think that the reason we struggle to get traffic is because there is so much competition and not enough people to go around! That’s silly really when you realize just how many people there are online every day, looking for what you’re selling.

So it came to my understanding that it’s not lack of people, it’s a lack of service to those people. Let me explain…

When you walk down your local street which has lots of shops, restaurants on it, which ones make you step inside?

Well, first of all it would be the ones that are specifically selling what you want right?

Ok, that makes sense. But what if you walked down another street which was full of restaurants that were all Italian? How would you decide which one to go eat at?

Well, there are two things:

1. Recommendation (friends tell you to go there)
2. Social Proof (you see other people inside looking happy)

So, just like a restaurant relies on these two aspects to get traffic through their doors, so does every single business online.

This means, if you want your blog to become a traffic magnet, you need to:

1. Have other people talk about how cool your site is
2. Have some kind of interaction with your visitors to show new comers that they are not alone

How to do this:

1. Create killer content (gets people talking)
2. Add visitor counters, comments, forums, polls, surveys, reviews to your blog so that people know that they are not the first in though the door.

Now, adding polls, comments etc is easy. It’s just a case of turning on a script in your blog. But as for content, well that’s a different matter.

After all, how do you create it, keep adding it, and let people know about it and maintain this momentum for months on end?

The truth is, this is just one of the aspects covered in Blogging to the Bank 3.0. Once you’ve got the content aspect nailed (which is one of the first things Rob Benwell, the creator, teaches you, then it’s a simple case of following his simple step by step system to attract more people to your blog every single day, which then makes EVEN MORE people from the outside want to know what all the fuss is about over at your blog.

Pretty soon, you’ll find yourself being that restaurant that everybody wants to kick back at with a nice drink, warm seats and good company… capiche?

So why not check out Rob’s story and see if he can’t help you get to that point this year, not next year or the year after that….THIS YEAR.

4 Simple Steps To More Website Traffic

May 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Every online business needs traffic in order to survive, that much we already know.

But in this article, we’re going to look at 4 of the most effective ways to set up windfalls of consistent traffic through one of the best publishing platforms online – blogs.

1. RSS Feeds

Most blogging software such as WordPress come with a built in RSS feed, which is the equivalent to having a newsletter subscription service, but of course is 100% free and requires no details to be passed over from the subscriber. Most people just let their RSS feed sit there on their new blogs but what you must do is submit your RSS feed URL to as many RSS directories as possible. Therefore, when you post new content on your blog, this is syndicated to your RSS feed and the directories display your most recent posts. This is one of the easiest ways to get immediate exposure every time you post content.

2. Blog commenting

If you’re looking for targeted traffic and some solid one way backlinks to boost your search engine listings, then try commenting on other people’s blogs leaving a link back to your website. Providing you post relevant and useful content/comments on other people’s blogs, the blog owner will “approve” your comments and you link will then become live. This can bring direct traffic and of course help with your rankings in the search engines.

3. Guest Bloggers

There are many advantages to having guest bloggers post their content on your site. Apart from the credibility of your blog going way up (depending on who the guest actually is), you are forming a mini joint venture where the guest is likely to tell his/her own audience about the material on your site, plus you may be able to work out a deal where you can return the favor and get access to their blog audience by appearing as a guest writer on their blog.

4. Trackback links

A trackback is when one blog communicates with another to inform the bloggers that their material has been referenced on someone else’s post. So if you were to write a really good post, I could write about your post and create a trackback on your blog that tells the readers I’ve been talking about you and your post. Not only can this bring direct traffic, but also provides another backlink to your blog which is great for a little SEO boost. When would this be most effective? Probably when I have a contrasting opinion to your original post or if I have something helpful (or controversial) to add to the original post.

These are just 4 of many ways to explode your blog traffic, but we’re not done yet. It’s possible to reach dizzy levels of traffic for your new blog right from day one when you have an arsenal of blogger’s traffic tactics at your disposal. Check out Blogging To The Bank for more details…

3 Steps To Blogging To The Bank

May 22, 2009 · Leave a Comment

If you’ve read my other articles, you’ll already know how to drive large amounts of traffic to your blog through basic SEO practices and through creating outstanding content.

But what’s the use in all of that if you’re never getting any decent money from your blog at the end of the day?

Sure, some people do this for nothing but poops and giggles, but for the enterprising individual that I am sure you are, we must look at ways to add revenue to our blogs to actually turn blogging into a successful business.

Before we do, it’s important to realize that there’s nothing ethically or morally wrong with monetizing your blog. After all, the products you sell or ads you run from your blog will be aimed to help your readers, and it’s their decision to engage in them at the end of the day.

So, let’s look at the various ways to extract some easy money from your blog:

1. Adsense

This is the old classic that still holds true for many bloggers. Because Adsense is so easy to implement into your site, and because the quality of the ads (and relevance) is so high, there’s a lot of potential to get lots of clicks from running this simple script on your site. However, this might not exactly allow you to quit your day job just yet, unless you have a serious amount of traffic coming in to your blog daily.

2. Affiliate programs

There’s no end of products you can promote as an affiliate and in many cases (particularly with digital download sales) you can earn a significant share of the revenue, sometimes up to 100% in a few cases. It’s really just a case of finding a good affiliate network, signing up and picking products to promote that tie in with your blog content. The more you hand pick individual products to promote based on individual posts, the higher your revenue will be. Don’t just slap one product on the sidebar; you need to actively presell the product by talking about it, and the problems it solves.

3. Selling advertising space

Just like making money from Adsense ads on your blog, there needs to be substantial (and targeted) traffic to your blog in order for you to attract media buyers (the people who buy the ad space from your site). Furthermore, advertisers will want to know precise demographics of your average blog readers, such as their age, location and reading habits (how long they stay on your site and what they respond to in terms of your content and other ads). You can get this information by visiting Quantcast.com and using their scripts to gather all of this data from your blog, which you can then present to interested buyers of ad space on your blog.

These are just some of the ways to attract revenue from your site. Each of the above methods does of course require more training in order for you to reach your maximum profit potential and beyond.

4 Cruitial Steps To Page 1 On Google

May 20, 2009 · Leave a Comment

It’s the most coveted position to be in, it’s also the most lucrative when you’ve got something to sell or a red hot topic to discuss with ways to earn revenue through simple Adsense ads or affiliate programs listed on your page…

…I am of course, talking about being on page #1 on Google.

It’s also very hard for many search terms, due to the inability to know what factors will propel you to such a lucrative position.

However, even though we don’t know Google’s complex code for how it decides to rank pages in its listings, we do know enough to find our own way there by using some tried and tested techniques, all thanks to the growth of Web 2.0, advanced keyword tools and some timeless SEO principles that cannot be denied by any search engine…

Step 1 – Make your site shine first

Your website needs to be easy to navigate, easy to read and interact with and of course have some quality, unique content. There’s plenty of ways to create websites on the fly these days and in terms of ease of use I would recommend using a Word Press blog installed on your domain to make the site good looking, easy to navigate and of course search engine friendly.

Step 2 – Add quality content

This is what the web is all about and you’ll find that the most valuable and worthwhile content will always find its way to the top of the search engines for relevant terms all on its’ own. People will naturally link to your site, plus the more content you add, the more chances you’ll have of being found on hundreds of different keyword searches.

Step 3. Target some good keywords

When creating content, target specific keywords that you want to be found for. The more competitive keywords may be hard to rank for at first (whilst your site is still new and has no authority) but you can get found for less competitive keywords with a little effort. You should include the keywords in your page title, opening paragraphs and throughout the entire page. You might want to include the keyword in the Meta descriptions too, although there’s less evidence that this actually makes a difference these days.

Step 4. Keyword rich back links

This is the biggie in terms of getting ranked well, especially for your chosen keyword phrases.

There’s a difference between getting some simple links back to your home page, and having other authority sites linking back to your page using proper keyword rich anchor text to specific pages on your site. This is an example of a bad link back to your site:

Check out this person’s site at http://thispersonssite.com

And this is an example of a great keyword rich, anchor link to your site for maximum SEO benefits:

Check out this person’s site <a href=”http://thispersonssite.com”>My Main Targeted Keyword Phrase That I Want To Rank For Goes Here</a>

Can you see the difference?

Ultimately, don’t fall for the hype about SEO and overnight rankings. The reality is, the most stable rankings will take time to appear but once they are there, you can expect a lot of traffic and sales as a result.

SEO is just one part of getting traffic to your site you’ll be pleased to know that there is a wealth of other lesser talked about strategies to get sheer amounts of traffic in a few days or weeks, which lasts for a very long time to come. Simple Steps To Finding A Niche

May 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment

When it all comes down to it, making money online starts and ends with the market you decide to enter.

These days, all you hear is about “finding your niche” or you need to “find a profitable niche”. Well, I happen to agree as do all other successful internet marketers.

But how exactly do you find a niche to get started in?

First of all, let’s clarify what a niche is. A niche is like a sub section of a broad market. For example, a broad market might be dating, but the niche you might discover would be Over 40’s Dating in North America.

Do you see the difference? Clearly, the niche is targeted to a certain type of people within a wider market (which is Dating in this example).

So, your job is to find a specific set of people who are looking for information, products and services or that generally have a burning interest in that subject. Here’s your checklist before you go out and start looking for a profitable niche to get started with:

1. Make sure they are buyers.

There’s no point targeting people who aren’t interested in buying anything related to that niche.

2. Make sure they are active online.

There needs to be forums, groups and other communities that congregate online so that you can target these people and get to know them properly.

The next thing to do is actually start your research. You can go to Dmoz.com and start looking around at categories listed there. Drill down to find small topics that you’d never think about. Then once you’ve found something of interest, go to eBay and Amazon and see if there are books/products/services that are selling which are related to this topic.

Then take some keywords that you think are related to the topic and do a search for related forums and groups. You can do that with a search like this:

“your keyword” + groups
“your keyword” + forums

Just replace “your keyword” with the actual keyword you have in mind, and then hit search in your favorite search engine.

Once you’ve established that there are products that are selling and people gathering actively online in forums and groups, you know that you are onto a winner.

The next steps are to find out what information people want and to start creating some simple articles on your own new domain which relates to this topic.

Then you can focus on monetizing the website and of course, the most important part is getting some good traffic to your site, which is the make or break part of the entire internet marketing process.

It’s also far too much to go into detail in this article, so make sure you check out this website to find out how to drive a lot of traffic to your site, plus more ideas on how to find even more wildly profitable niches and ways to shortcut your way to online success…If you’d like to know more about using the new wave of traffic inducing methods to really get your business off the ground, then check this out: The Secret Affiliate Code

4 Easy Ways To Get Traffic To Your New Websites

May 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment

The reason so many people fail online so quickly is because they don’t get traffic, at least not enough of it.

The problem is, people end up spending money on advertising without making much (if any) profit back, or they simply spend too much time trying to get free traffic and burn themselves out.

Of course, once you’re successful you can pay someone to get you the traffic, but how do we get out of the never ending cycle of trying to get traffic without wasting time and money?

Well, I am going to start with the fundamental tasks that you should focus on first, then we’ll take it from there…

1. Directory submissions.

This can be achieved using automated submission software or can be done by hand. It’s a little dull but will result in lots of back links to your website for better visibility in the search engines. This is pay off as you add more content and back links to your site.

2. Social bookmarking.

This is about submitting links to the major Web 2.0 social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Propeller and Reddit (to name just a few). The great thing is you can use software such as socialmarker.com to make the process far easier. You can also buy inexpensive software to automate the whole process.

The benefit of social bookmarking your content is so that you gain back links from these authority sites (which is essential for being found in the search engines) but also, if you content is worthwhile and interesting, you increase the chances of your submission being passed around other readers really quickly, which can of course result in a lot of traffic to your website.

3. Back links.

Back links are the backbone of getting your pages listed high in the search engines. The more people link to your site naturally (i.e. without being paid or listing your site in some sort of link farm where the site linking to you is junk), then the better your rankings will be in the search engines. Not to mention the direct traffic that will come from the actual links from other sites too.

4. Collaboration.

Most people want to be the “one person wonder” or the sole entrepreneur in their business, which is fine. However, don’t underestimate the sheer power of teaming up with other well established websites directly and offering your content, help or other services in exchange for some exposure to your own website.

The classic “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine” effect comes into play here and trust me, it works like a charm providing you genuinely approach people to help them first.

There are of course, many other ways to start getting traffic to your site such as writing articles like this one, or getting involved with many of the Web 2.0 properties out there online today. The more social you become with your website at other people’s parties, the more people will come to your party when you come to tell them about it…just like real life isn’t it?

I’ve only scratched the surface of getting heavy volumes of traffic to your website. If you’d like to know more about using the new wave of traffic inducing methods to really get your business off the ground, then check this out: The Secret Affiliate Code

Honest Review of Opportunity.com

May 9, 2009 · Leave a Comment

After a long wait and much buzz the internet’s true master marketer, John Reese, has finally opened his new training program called Opportunity.com. This site is for affiliate marketers. But the questions are : Is it worth the money? What are the advantages of using it? Any disadvantages?

But before we get to Opportunity.com let’s take a quick look at who John Reese is:

Who Is John Reese?

John Reese is a marketing genius who has quietly been marketing online since prior to the birth of the Internet. He is a well-rounded marketer who has successfully exploited countless niches, been actively involved with eBay (in fact, he even profited $38,450.27 from one auction) and is an expert in traffic generation and conversion.

One of these projects was a free photo-hosting service for eBay users that John started in 1998. This service (due to a powerful Viral Marketing “twist”) became one of the Top 500 sites in the world for web traffic in only 10 months after it was launched. This little service used to consistently produce in excess of $100K/month in affiliate commissions from a variety of affiliate programs. Not bad for a service that John created for less than $350.

After his success John started reaching out and helping others reach his level of success. In March 20004, he held a sold-out , $4500 a pop seminar where he, as he refers to it, “spilled his guts” for 3 straight days.
On August 17, 2004, John Reese shocked the Internet marketing world and pulled in over $1,000,000 in sales in less than 24 hours (18 to be exact) for the launch of a new product — and he did it without spending one penny on advertising!

Since that day John has been responsible for helping thousands of people earn millions online. John has earned millions of dollars in affiliate commissions and started Opportunity.com to help anyone start and grow an Affiliate Marketing business.

What is Opportunity.com?

Opportunity.com is introduced as affiliate marketing training program and resource tool box which promises a great model to create an online business. To some this model may not be new, for others it’s a valuable knowledge. Essentially, this strategy is based around the most lucrative Internet marketing model – email marketing.

The model is simple – build your mailing list by giving away free stuff or bonuses, then send out promotions to your list over time. The key elements are building the list in first place, then strategically sending out the promotions. Opportunity.com teaches how to do this the right way that produces results and sales vs the wrong way that gets you listed as a spammer or worse.

But that’s not why it caught my eye. There’s nothing special in this method and with some time spent researching and trial and error, you could learn that for free on your own. Or get some cheap course on that (although Opportunity.com is quite cheap itself). The reason why it’s so special is because John and his team have put together inside Opportunity.com a directory of the best and only the best affiliate offers. That means the offers are tested and you will know that every single of them converts and is worth promoting. Not only that, those offers will come with reports giving you insight how to promote them. That info is something you want to have as an affiliate. With this list it is easy to make money because you don’t have to spend money testing your advertising on an offer to see if or how it converts into sales. That alone can save you thousands of dollars and hours of time.

So to recap, Opportunity.com provides:

* Affiliate, e-mail marketing training
* Directory of only proven affiliate offers
* Market intelligence for effective offer promotion
* New offer alert system

The Good

* It has comprehensive training.
* The offer directory with market reports is really a unique and powerful service. It’s valuable for any affiliate, beginner or advanced, even for the experts. It’s literally half the job done for you.

The Bad

* Even though Opportunity.com seems like a great opportunity (no pun intended), there will always be a group of people that it’s just not for them. For one, if you’re not doing affiliate marketing (and just selling your products, for example), only the e-mail marketing part would be of use to you, but that would be overpaying. And if you consider market research to be your forte, you may find it redundant, unless of course you want this job outsourced.

The Conclusion

Opportunity.com is a great service, and I want to emphasize that word. It’s a service that aims to help you in your affiliate endeavors. And knowing that such a figure as John Reese is behind it, you can expect that John will over deliver on his promises – he always does. If you are at all interested in making money online then you need to check out Opportunity.com.

Work At Home Moms Tips To Get Started Being One

May 8, 2009 · Leave a Comment

When it comes to working at home as a mom, many women make the mistake of settling for jobs that are very low paying. There are many menial tasks out there that work at home moms get involved in for low pay. This is not a great option for you. Sometimes taking these low paying jobs will get you stuck in a rut. The low pay is bad for your self esteem as well and often you can really end up working hard for hours for very little pay. You are worth more than this and there are good paying jobs out there. So, don’t fall into this trap. If you are wondering how to begin and how to find good jobs, here’s a look at some helpful tips and ideas to get you on your way.

Consider Your Interests
If you want to get started working at home and you are looking for a good job that you can do from your home, the first thing that you should do is to consider your interests. Many people just start looking for jobs and go for anything that pays. However, you want a job that is going to work out for you long term, which means it is something that you should have an interest in. Many times just considering your interests can lead you in the right direction when you are looking for a job. Do you enjoy writing? Then perhaps a job that includes writing will be right for you. Do you enjoy making crafts? Then you may want to start a home business where you can sell crafts that you make. Take time to figure out what you are really interested in and passionate about. Then take those ideas and figure out ways that you can make them pay.

Get Advice from Others in the Business

One of the best things that you can do is to get advice from others in the business. Sometimes it can be rough going to get started working at home. The advice of others who have already done this can be a huge help. Do you know moms who are now working at home? If so, ask them for any advice they have to offer. If you don’t know moms who are working at home, then consider getting online. There are many websites and forums for work at home moms where you can talk to other moms who work in their homes and find out helpful information that will help you out as you try to get started. Many moms write articles about how to get a start that provide excellent advice you can use. So, make the most of the resources that are out there and use the advice that other moms are giving. They know what they are talking about.

Don’t Take Just Any Job
It’s very important that you don’t take just any job. When you really want to work at home and make some money, it’s tempting to take the first job that comes around, even if the pay is very low and you are not thrilled with it. This is selling yourself short. Wait for the right job. Ensure that the job you decide to go with is going to provide you with an adequate income. You should be paid well for your time. Don’t let people make you feel like your time isn’t worth much. It is better to take your time and find the right job than to sell yourself short and make a pittance for a huge amount of work.

Research an Opportunity Before Taking It

Before you take any opportunity for moms who work at home, make sure that you spend time researching the opportunity. Be well versed on the opportunity and work to find out everything that you can. Research and knowledge can keep you from making a bad mistake. If the opportunity is with a company, research the company to make sure that they are legitimate. See what others have to say about the company. If it is a specific opportunity that you are considering beginning on your own, then find out everything you can about how others have got started and how they have become successful. You research is the key to finding the right opportunity and making it a successful one.

While there are many excellent opportunities out there for work at home moms today, there are many scams out there as well. The last thing you want to do is waste your time and effort on something that ends up being a scam. Often it is easy to spot scams. Usually they offer you the world, sounding way too good to be really true. Make sure that you do your homework before getting involved in a new opportunity. Research the company, read any fine print, and do your best to insure that you are not getting caught up in a scam on the internet.
